The Board will be accepting bids until 4:30pm (MST) on October 28, 2005. Bids delivered by certified/registered mail only, postmarked on or prior to October 28th, are acceptable, but they must be clearly identified with the term "TRAILER HOUSE BID" on the bottom left corner on the front of the bid envelope.

Outreach Specialist-Regional Native American Community Networks Program
Location: Black Hills Center for American Indian Health, Rapid City, South Dakota
DEGREE AND AREA OF SPECIALIZATION: A bachelor’s degree in public administration, health education, sociology, social work or related field, and a minimum of one year of professional experience in community outreach, public health, health education or related field are required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: This position will work in South Dakota and be located in Rapid City, South Dakota. The Black Hills Center for American Indian Health (BHCAIH) works to reduce cancer health disparities by conducting community-based participatory research and education among American Indian tribes and communities. The Community Networks Program (CNP) collaborates with organizations to develop and disseminate programs that reach American Indian and other medically underserved populations with cancer information. The Outreach Specialist will assist at a regional level in the implementation and dissemination of BHCAIH and CNP program initiatives.
Using a participatory approach, the Outreach Specialist seeks to learn the cancer education, training, and research interest of American Indian and underserved populations. She or he will provide technical assistance and capacity-building services to partners such as cancer education efforts, developing and facilitating coalitions, identifying strategies to reach specific populations, and providing resources on research, training, and the development of community-based research projects. This person will interact with similar outreach specialist in North Dakota and participate on monthly conference calls. The Outreach Specialist will also attended bi-annual meetings of the Regional Native American CNP. Extensive traveling-state and occasional travel out-of-state will be required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Significant experience working with American Indian tribes, communities, and organizations, and the medically underserved is preferred; excellent organizational and administrative abilities; superior communication skills; and a personal computer skills, including Internet,Windows, and MS Office. A period of evaluation will be required.
SALARY: $10-$12/hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

The Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe is seeking a qualified person to fill the un-expired term of Chief Judge who shall be elected by the eligible voters of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Applicants must obtain a Nominating Petition in person at the OST Special Election Board Office in the old hospital building in Pine Ridge.
Nominating Petitions will be available Friday, Oct 21 at 8:00 a.m. Proof of graduation from an ABA accredited law school, current valid license to practice in any state of federal jurisdiction, and personally signing all releases and affidavits and other documents are all required of the Oglala Sioux Tribe Election Code.
Tribal members have the option of presenting an enrollment certificate with their packet if they wish to be identified as an enrolled member on the election ballot.
Completing Nominating Petitions must be returned no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2005. Nominating Petitions received after the deadline will not be considered. Salary is negotiable.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred, a minimum of five years’ experience gained through increasingly responsible management and supervisory positions within the finance area, preferably in governmental/tribal accounting systems.
